What is happening in Wake Forest these days? Sit down, grab a lemonade – yes it is now warm enough for a cold glass of lemonade from The Village Deli! – and let’s chat. There is no lack of events to attend, games to watch, classes to take, walks to enjoy, food to try, beer to sip!

The return of Friday Night on White! Welcome to post COVID? Can we say that yet? I am saying it. I want to believe it. If you want to feel what a small town feels like. If you are looking for that nostalgic gathering of the town’s folk in the town center. If you like live music, food trucks, artists, fun….then Friday Night on White is for you. This concert series will occur through the first week in September. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy. Simple. Wake Forest. Fun.

Wake Forest Garden & Art Tour – “Those gardens are gorgeous. We had no idea they were there” something we hear after this event every year. The Wake Forest Garden Club hosts this annual event where the hosts get to showcase their talents!! Tickets to this event include an After Party! Where? At the Wake Forest Birthplace Lawn!! Tickets are $35 and possibly the best $35 you will spend this year.
Herbfest! Not that type of herb. It’s not 1968. LOL. My attempt at humor. Okay, this long time festival is a must attend event. Gorgeous perennials, organic non GMO herbs, vegetables, along with heirloom tomatoes, and peppers can be found here. A great way to jump start your garden, fire up the potted plants on your deck or buy and pot them for your kitchen. This event is the annual fundraiser for the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment that truly has an impact. This group focuses on bringing. public art projects and arts education to schools and the community. April 29 – May 1 and May 6-8.
LitFest! You’d think that a “LitFest” at a Brewery would be about getting “lit”. That would not be a classy thing for us to post. This, however, is!!!! How cool that Page 158 Books and Norse Brewing are partnering tonight on an event for Authors and Apps! Love this. Join Norse & Page 158 to celebrate reading, raise funds for for a non profit focused on helping kids read and spread literacy awareness!!

Want to try a cold beer? Come check out our very own White Street Brewery. The flights are great and there is always a food truck there.
Take A Hike! No I’m not telling you to stop reading and move on. I am telling you to truly… Take A Hike! With 11 established trails of so many different lengths you will not run out of fun and beautiful trails to take a hike on. We are blessed as Wake Forest residents to have easy access to these trails and the 55 plus miles of trails on Falls Lake as well!!

Wake Forest home owners and those searching for homes in Wake Forest should come back here often to learn more about what is happening. We are so fortunate to live in a community like Wake Forest that features so much. So many places. So much to do. We will continue to share Our Wake Forest.
Oh, don’t forget all of our local Farmer’s Markets!!! Trust me on this one….
