Oh what a night indeed! The Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s annual Wake Forest Business & Community Expo, presented by Century Link, last week at Wake Forest Charter Academy. We, along with Pate Realty, were proud to be Gold sponsors of this fun event!
If you aren’t familiar with this annual event, take it from me, you’re going to want to be there next year! Not only is admission free, but it’s a great way to learn about businesses here in the Wake Forest area & meet your neighbors. There were approximately 65 vendors who participated this year; many offered free samples and activities for the whole family!
There were so many GREAT booths present; one of my personal favorites was the photo booth, presented by Forget-Me-Not. It was a huge hit with many attendees…check out Kima Real Estate Group’s Jennifer Crawford & Chad Wingler! At 6:00 p.m., we had the amazing opportunity to judge the children’s costume contest. Let me just say, there are some VERY creative people in the town of Wake Forest. All of the kids looked so cute & some of the costumes were completely over the top! The grand prize winner received an Xbox 1, courtesy of Sam’s Club. The runner up received a gift basket, provided by Gaming Unplugged. Check out a couple of the participants…
Up next, Peter & Brian with our winners! The runner up was a race car, complete with LED head lights & the Grand Prize Winner was a kid with his head in a jar. Yes, seriously…his head in a jar. How clever is that?!
In addition to all of the free food, samples, info…there was a lot of FUN to be had! We hosted a very popular “Selfie Contest” where participants posed in front of our banner & took a selfie! To enter the contest, participants were asked to post the photo on their social media sites and use #KIMASELFIE. The winner received a new Go Pro camera! You can see many of the entries by searching #KIMASELFIE on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I’m including a couple here for your enjoyment.
See what I mean? Good times with some really great people; you’re going to want to be there next year! To make sure you stay up to date with what’s going on around town, bookmark the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce’s calendar.
