Meet In The Street

The time has finally come!! The 36th Annual Meet in the Street® festival in Wake Forest will take place THIS Saturday, May 7! The festival starts at 10am with food, fun, live music, children’s activities, entertainment and more. Admission is free and open to the public. There will be dozens of artisans’ booths complete with beautiful handcrafted items. They arts and craft vendors will be located along South Taylor Street, South Brooks Street and South White Street. Booths will open at 10am. There will also be many other vendors for food, entertaining and a beer garden setup by White Street Brewing Co.

There will be inflatables, Wake Forest Fire Department obstacle course, bike safety fun and more!

All 3 streets will be filled with FUN! White Street will have crafts, music stage, food and Downtown merchants. Brooks Street will have food, performance area, bicycle safety fair and crafts. Taylor Street will have children activities, fire exhibit, food and crafts. No matter which way you turn, you’ll find something FUN to do!

There will be two performance stages with a variety of performing artists. The folks performing are so talented and have looked forward to this day for quite some time. Some of those performing are The Lang Sisters, Southern Blend Band, Rebekah Todd and the Odyssey and Liverpool of the Carolinas – Beatles Experience.

Foods include polish sausages, funnel cakes, ice cream, french fries, hot dogs, and so much more! The food vendors who will be participating in this year’s Meet in the Street are:

Free parking will be available along many downtown streets. Just look for the signs. Here’s a list of parking options.

Handicap parking will be provided in the Depot Parking Lot, 110 S. White St.; Renaissance Place Parking Lot, 405 S. Brooks St.; and the upper SunTrust Parking Lot, 353 S. White St.
