We may be 5 days away from the official first day of summer here in Wake Forest, NC but things are definitely HOT! It feels like we hear it every year and this one is proving to be no exception as we are already seeing record breaking temperatures in the area. The heat wave that rolled in over the weekend is expected to generate record highs for the second day in a row today and there is little relief on the horizon.
The heat outside is not the only thing that’s blazing around here as the real estate market continues to heat up! With the Raleigh/Durham area continuing to rank among the nation’s various “Best Of” lists, people are continuing to head this way…eager to call the area home. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen inventory in short supply and those who are in the market to sell are finding themselves in a pretty good position, overall. For the first half of 2015, our Triangle Multiple Listing Service indicates that homes are selling on an average of 67 days here in Wake Forest. 67 days…from the day it is actively marketed for sale until closing.
