Bowling Alley Coming to Downtown Wake Forest
By Peter Kima on December 22nd, 2011Striiiiiike! Bowling Alley in Downtown Wake Forest
Dust off the old ball, grab those stylish 1977 shoes, grab the wrist thingy and your bowling towel…..it is time to hit the lanes in Wake Forest. Wake Forest residents will be able to enjoy this classic form of entertainment as soon as April! Craig Briner with Green Hawk Properties is in negotiations with Wake Falls LLC partner Doug Pearce. Pearce, the owner of the ever popular, Over The Falls Deli in downtown Wake Forest is hoping to create a new vibe in downtown. He is moving the deli to the building located on Brooks Street that houses Classic Cars and Tuxedo Junction. Conveniently enough the bowling alley will occupy the space formerly held by Cross-Roads Entertainment. The Alley will also feature a 40-60 seat sports bar and 75 seat party room. This, along with the White Street Brewery that is scheduled to open this year certainly will add a new vibe! Looking forward to seeing YOU in Wake Forest! Excellent! I was just commenting to someone last night that a bowling alley was the last major thing we were missing up here. Now I may never go to Raleigh!
Not exactly….we still don’t have a wholesale club up here. And as for the bowling alley, I agree that we’ve needed one for years….I just hope it isn’t one of those upscale alleys, like the one at North Hills, that is very expensive.
